The FONTEC story

FONTEC S.r.l. was established in 1985, when Fenwick S.p.A., builder since 1956 of Speedmullor mixers and other foundry equipment under licence from Beardsley & Piper of Chicago, went into liquidation.

An engineering team with long Fenwick experience bought from the liquidator all the manufacturing drawings, patterns, fixtures, tools and the whole commercial and technical documentation. This enabled FONTEC to keep supplying hundreds of customers with original spare parts and new mixers.

To improve the design and efficiency of the Speedmullor with wheels, FONTEC introduced the AER-A-MIX, modifying the mulling principle: intensive aerators take the place of the mulling wheels. FONTEC continues to supply all spare parts and wear parts for the Speedmullors built in past years and for the new AER-A-MIX.
