AER-A-MIX and conversion

Technology

AER-A-MIX

AER-A-MIX improves the design and efficiency of the Speedmullor by modifying its mulling principle: intensive aerators action takes the place of the mulling wheels.

Existing Speedmullors in operation can be converted in the field by incorporating the high efficiency aerators. FONTEC builds new AER-A-MIX mixers and converts existing Speedmullors 100B and 85B.

Conversion

From Speedmullor 100B or 85B to AER-A-MIX

The advantages

  • Improves sand quality.
  • Increases hourly capacity.
  • Provides aerated, flowable sand.
  • Eliminates the need of premixing the additives without water.
  • Faster and immediate dispersion of water and additives into the sand.
  • In conjunction with FONTEC’s low pressure and low density bond injection system, build-up inside the mixer is minimized, providing a cleaner environment.
  • More efficient use of active clay: according to FONTEC, consumption is reduced by as much as 20 percent.
