Information on the processing of personal data under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) for visitors to this website and for people who contact FONTEC through it.
1. Data controller
FONTEC S.r.l., Via Magenta 4, 20028 San Vittore Olona (MI), Italy. VAT no. and tax code 07708780155. Phone +39 0331 422949. Email info@fontec.it.
2. Data we process
- Browsing data. Like any website, the systems running this site record some technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type and operating system. They are needed to run and protect the site and are not used to identify visitors.
- Data sent through the contact form. Name, company, email, phone (optional), subject, machine model (optional) and message. We may receive the same data if you write to us by email or phone us.
- Data used to protect the form. To prevent repeated automated submissions, the site keeps for one hour a code derived from the IP address in unreadable form (hash), together with the number of submissions.
- Cookies. The site only uses technical cookies. Third-party content, such as the Google Maps map, is loaded only with your consent. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Answering your commercial or technical enquiries and, if you ask, preparing a quotation: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and, for information-only requests, FONTEC’s legitimate interest in replying to people who contact it (Art. 6.1.f).
- Running and protecting the site and preventing abuse, including automated form submissions: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f).
- Complying with legal obligations and, where necessary, defending FONTEC’s rights in court: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c) and legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f).
- Showing the Google Maps map on the contact page: consent (Art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
Your data are not used to send newsletters or promotional messages, nor for profiling.
4. Providing your data
Sending the form is optional. Fields marked with an asterisk are needed to reply to you: without them we cannot follow up your enquiry.
5. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries and related correspondence: for as long as needed to handle them and then for no more than 24 months after the last contact. If the enquiry leads to a business relationship, data are kept for the duration of the relationship and for the periods required by law for accounting and tax records (usually 10 years).
- Form protection code: one hour.
- Browsing data: for the time strictly needed for site security, according to the hosting provider’s settings.
6. Who can access your data
Data are processed by authorised and trained FONTEC staff. They may also be processed on FONTEC’s behalf, as data processors (Art. 28 GDPR), by the providers of website hosting, email and IT maintenance. Data may be disclosed to public authorities only when required by law. Data are not made public.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
FONTEC does not itself transfer data outside the European Economic Area. If you choose to show the map, Google may process some browsing data in the United States as well; Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, the transfer takes place only with the safeguards set out in Articles 44-49 GDPR.
8. Your rights
At any time you may ask FONTEC for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15-22 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given, without affecting processing already carried out. To exercise your rights write to info@fontec.it.
If you believe the processing infringes the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your country.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated, for example if the services used by the site change. The version in force is always published on this page.
